Dolphins clinch playoff spot, defeat Cowboys 22-20

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa leads team on game-winning drive

Jason Sanders kicks fifth field goal of game as time expires

The Miami Dolphins secured a playoff berth Sunday after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led them on a game-winning 12-play, 64-yard drive to beat the Dallas Cowboys 22-20 at Hard Rock Stadium.

The victory clinched a playoff spot for the Dolphins, who improved to 9-7 on the season. The Dolphins also remained in contention for the AFC East title with two games remaining.

The Cowboys, who fell to 12-5, were led by quarterback Tony Romo, who returned from a collarbone injury to throw for two touchdowns. However, the Cowboys' offense struggled in the second half, and they were unable to overcome the Dolphins' late rally.

The Dolphins took the lead for good on Sanders' 29-yard field goal with just 19 seconds remaining in the game. The field goal was set up by a 26-yard pass from Tagovailoa to wide receiver DeVante Parker.

Tagovailoa finished the game 24-of-39 passing for 299 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 23 yards.

Romo was 21-of-37 passing for 226 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 24 yards.

The Dolphins will host the Buffalo Bills next Sunday in a game that could decide the AFC East title. The Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday in a game that could clinch the NFC East title for the Cowboys.
